If you know me well then you know how absolutely attached I am to my iPhone. I think many people are in the same boat be it with the iPhone or the Samsung or the HTC or the Google. A part of us loves familiarity and fear the world of change. My iPhone was almost at the end of its useful life and I was definitely looking at options for new phones. I mean the iPhone 8+ and iPhone X were out and so was the new OPPO and then there was the Google Pixel 2!
Admittedly when the Pixel 2 launched and I was a part of the media launch I was too closed minded to give the phone a fair chance. So what changed this time? Well, not only was there a WHITE (that’s right it comes in the white color) Google Pixel 2 in front of me, there was a dedicated Google member sitting with me to onboard me step by step through the migrating process.
He not only explained the cool features (such as pressure sensors), he actually guided me step by step through the process. The best thing was everything from my pictures to my apps to my screensaver was migrated and immediately transfered. It felt like I never lost any files or data at all. I’ve never looked back since and the only thing I really still can’t get used to is having no home button but I can settle for that given my new amazing phone has next level camera features!
What phone do you use? Would you consider changing systems or are you quite traditional like I was. Would the on boarding experience above make a difference?
