After a long day 1 I thought I’d hit the breaks a little for Day 2. Now I’m not saying it wasn’t as jam packed as Day 1 because I assure you it was but it was less travelling and more backstage interviews, etc. Today was so much fun as the first item on my agenda was Backstage Interviews (I’ll save that post for next week).
Wearing Asilio one-piece, Anve Glossa skirt overall and Windsor Smith boots.
Day 2 Agenda:
Fashion Hong Kong Runway (Featuring designers Harrison Wong, Anveglosa and HeavenPlease)
This isn’t the first time Hong Kong Trade Development Council has hosted a show in New York Fashion Week but it sure was the first time I attended a fashion show featuring local Hong Kong designers. I’ve always thought of Hong Kong as a place that was fashion forward and unique in it’s fashion. You’ll always find designs in Hong Kong that just scream EDGY and HIPSTER. The 3 independent designers that took the stage today were Harrison Wong (with a collection inspired by the artist Mark Rothko and his gradation artworks), Anveglosa (who’s collection is themed and inspired by “The Opera”) and HeavenPlease (a fantastic duo who took inspiration from the famous Hong Kong writer Lau Yee Cheung). Concept Korea Runway
Korean fashion designers have always inspired me with their careful craftsmanship of the garments. Today we were blessed with seeing the collections of two independent designers – Greedilous and Lie by Lee Chung Chung. I adore the colorful pieces coming out of this show especially in yellow and sky blue. See below some of my favorite looks from today’s Concept Korea show.
