Following on from last night’s post we continued our weekend adventure and our next stop was Hotel Lindrum. Hotel Lindrum is a unique 59 room boutique hotel that combines modern design with the ultimate in contemporary facilities and personalised service. It has incorporated aspects of its heritage in present day operations. The billiard room in the lobby features one of the original billiard tables from the building days as Lindrum’s Billiard Centre. It is also conveniently only a small walk away from major attractions, well-known restaurants and tourist attractions.
We arrived to check in to Hotel Lindrum at about 2pm and this was definitely one of the more interesting hotel lobbies I have been to. Hotel Lindrum boasts an amazing billiard table and a pretty cool lounge bar area where you can play chess. The hotel is only a couple of floors so you can opt to take the elevator or the stairs.
One of the first things I noticed walking into my room is the beautiful arches of the windows in our room. It was also a pleasant surprise to see some cute dessert treats that were awaiting us in our room. We didn’t wait long before we dug into them and they were absolutely delicious! We also noticed Hotel Lindrum also used Appelles products which we already loved.
After a short indulgence we got ready for our night out. Tonight we were going to dine at Chin Chin, a well known South East Asian Cuisine Restaurant in Melbourne. I had been here 3 years ago but I was definitely keen to have another meal there. It’s also conveniently only a short 5 minute walk away from Hotel Lindrum. Before we headed to dinner we thought we should play a game since our hotel had a nice billiard table at the lobby.
After our quick game downstairs we headed straight to Chin Chin. Tonight I wore a dress by Florentina and I’m ready to have some fun! The food at Chin Chin definitely did not disappoint! I highly recommend you to get to Chin Chin by around 5pm or 5.30pm because the lines can get a little crazy from 6.30pm onwards (the wait can sometimes be 1-2hours!). After dinner we explored the city and I did some shopping at LV (new shoes YAY!) before heading for some cute animal lattes at The Dessert Kitchen located in Chinatown! Highly recommend this for anyone who loves cute looking drinks. I’m actually super thrilled because we did not have this in Sydney but I heard they will be opening a Sydney branch soon! In the morning we decided that we would like to have breakfast in our room.
I actually have heard amazing things about the Felt restaurant so I had high expectations for the food. This was indeed an incredible breakfast that met all those expectations. My favourite was the crunchy kale salad. It was refreshing and I definitely crave it now as I write this!
This sums up my incredible weekend in Melbourne staying at two amazing MGallery by Sofitel hotels. A big thank you to Accor Hotels, The Como Hotel, Hotel Lindrum and last but not least the amazing staff for hosting our stays over the weekend. It was truly a memorable moment. Have you ever stayed at any Accor Hotels before? Would love to hear about your experience.
