Hello from the beautiful country of Singapore! First and foremost let’s talk about my beautiful stay at the Concorde Hotel in Singapore. The first thing you see when you enter this hotel is the beautiful bullet like elevators. They light up the lobby during the night and the view from inside is just spectacular. Before going into this magical capsule we were led by reception to the Premier Lounge. Our luggage was kindly taken up to our suite and as it was close to eight at night we helped our tummies to the buffet style evening snacks. Below you can see that I indulged in some sweets because I have a sweet tooth! I also had my favourite mango juice as well as a few prawn dumplings. The Premier Lounge serves complimentary cocktails and alcoholic beverages on top of the food from 6pm to 8pm daily but I was just too tired from the flight to have alcoholic drinks. Regardless of this the food we had was amazing and prepared us with energy to go on adventures with the Covered team.
Once we arrived into our Premier Suite we were told of all the cool perks of our stay. As a tourist I often struggle with buying international sims or hefty data bills. With Concorde Hotel there’s no worries of this at all because as a guest we were given a complimentary mobile phone which had free local and international calls PLUS data! Isn’t that fantastic? On top of this everything in the minibar is also complimentary to us and 2 items of laundry also free of charge daily. We also received a nice arrangement of fruit and some chocolate too!
In the morning I took a quick bath before heading to the lobby to try the Premier Lounge buffet breakfast. Before we talk about the food can we talk about the spacious bathroom? The Premier Suite features a spacious bathroom complete with a built in wardrobe for you to hang your suits and pretty dresses. The bath tub was on my list of must do’s after a long flight so I was glad I was prepared and brought my Lush bath bombs with me.
Now let’s get back to the food talk! In Concorde Hotel you have a choice of the Spices Cafe or the Premier Lounge buffet breakfast. Unfortunately we woke up quite late both days (first day because of flying the night before and the second time from a long day of walking around Orchard Road malls) so we did not get to try the Spices Cafe but I’m sure the food there would have been just as good! As usual my choice is full of fruits, mango juice and some sweets.
It’s important to mention (for those who don’t already know) that the location of the Concorde Hotel is at the prime location of Orchard Road. This is the main road in Singapore where all the various malls are located. The nearest mall is a 1 minute walk away (and that’s a SLOW walk guys). However, if you ever get tired of the sightseeing walks and the shopping you can always take some time to relax in the poolside of the hotel. It’s perfect to go for a dip when you experience the warm temperatures you in Singapore!
Our stay could not have been more perfect at the Concorde Hotel especially with the free phone service we were able to get around quite easily. I hope you enjoyed my review of the Concorde Hotel Singapore!
